Pump Installation
"The modern
way to complete a well"
Virdell Drilling has used the pitless adapter method of pump installation since
the late 1960's in over 8,000 wells. In this type installation, the
pitless casing fitting is attached to the well casing around a hole cut in the
casing below the frostline to provide for a delivery pipe. The pump,
suspended from the drop pipe fitting, is lowered into the well. The drop
pipe fitting locks into the casing fitting, providing both a support for drop
pipe and pump within the well and a fluid tight conduit between the drop pipe
and the discharge pipe.
